I can see you sneaking a few minutes of Facebook time on your phone. Don’t worry, I won’t tell anybody…..
I know you’re busy – rushed off your feet most days. You’re entitled to a bit of me time now and again, and Facebook just fits the bill for a ten minute break, doesn’t it?
Are you commuting, making the most of the only thing you can do on a packed train or tube? Are you taking a swift five minutes at work while the boss can’t see you, or catching up on the gossip during your lunch break? Or are you taking a welcome break off your feet while your children play nicely for a while or take a nap? I don’t blame you at all – you need the rest.
What if I asked you whether you were planning to try and lose weight for the summer? If I was in the room you would probably hit me. What, am I saying, you need to lose weight? How dare I? Plus how on earth are you supposed to find the time to count calories, diet and get to the gym every day? Don’t I know that you are busy, burned out and just too darned exhausted for all that…..? Yes it would be lovely to be a bit slimmer and fitter and lose that baby weight, but you’ve tried all of that and frankly, you just don’t have the time…..
Thankfully I’m not in the room, I’m in your phone, so you can’t reach me, and so I don’t have a black eye now. And I want you to just stop for a moment, and think about this…
