My favourite simple pleasure is a cup of tea. What a lot a cup of tea can do! It can warm you when you are cold, cool you when you are hot, refresh you when thirsty, stave off hunger, pick you up when you are tired, relax you when you feel frantic, and cheer you up when you are down. So much pleasure from something so simple!
My simple pleasure is that at least once a week I like to snuggle up on the sofa with a good book, a nice cup of tea (you can’t beat a nice cup of tea) and to top it off, a large bar of chocolate and have a bit of ‘me’ time where I can escape the harsh realities of life and relax! x

My favourite simple pleasure: my weekend showers. As my other half is home and can watch our daughter, this is the time I get to have a shower in peace and calm.
Finally a relaxing affair with bubbles, exfoliating and mouisturising, rather than the hurried, stressed experience of weekday mornings where I come under missile attacks from DD hurling things over the shower curtain, running off with my towel and her latest trick of scalding me by turning the sink tap on!
Ahh weekend ablutions are bliss!

my simple pleasure is finishing a good book. I work from home when kids go to sleep, and work till after midnight so I usually don’t get to read that much, so it’s now a bit of an achievement to finish one.
Eating a hot meal with two hands!!
As I have a toddler who need coaxing with his fodd at the minutes and a breastfed baby who always knows when we are sitting down to eat – it isn’t often that I am able to use both hands to feed myself a meal that is still hot – so when I can it’s BLISS!!
My simple pleasure is a cuddle with my children and or husband, you know the ones where you are just focussed on the completeness of the hug, how loved you feel and how you love them. The best feeling in the world.
Sitting with my dog on my lap, rubbing her belly while she looks up at me adoringly. Bliss!
