If you have read my mumpreneur story so far (Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3), you will know that I got to a point where I felt I needed to find a business idea soon. I had no money of my own, and my husband is also an accountant, so I was going to have to come up with a plausible business plan, or else he would not want to invest in it. He is the scariest of Dragons, and is very risk averse.
This week’s mumpreneur profile is a complaining cow who found her niche and turned her blog into a buisiness. I just love the name of this blog! So this week I give you Helen Dewdney, the Complaining Cow.
At this time of year, it would be very easy to disappear under a blanket and wallow in misery. I certainly felt like it this autumn morning as I woke up in the dark at 6.15 with the symptoms of my first seasonal cold. Blah!
The Blogging Mums Club is an amazing Facebook group set up to allow bloggers to promote their posts and share hints, advice and tips. It started off as a small commenting circle but has now grown to over 4,000 members.
Julie Sherwood has run Get In The Press since 2005 – a small PR consultancy helping small businesses get to grips with PR. She has worked for major brands including Penguin Children’s Books, to smaller start ups including swimwear brands, jewellery boutiques, fitness centres and parenting experts.
A couple of months ago I made the big decision to merge my two websites, Motivating Mum UK and Mum’s the Boss. The merger took place on 21st September 2016, and all links from Motivating Mum UK are now pointing to Mum’s the Boss.
