So here I am back to my blog at last, and I simply cannot believe that a whole two months have gone my since my last post. In January I wrote of my intention to post better and more frequently this year, and there I went not a month later, on an extended sabbatical. I don’t know if any of you have been wondering what happened to me, but I’m afraid I’m going to bore you with it anyway.

We don’t get abroad on holiday every year. When my mum lived in Bournemouth we would just rock up there for a few weeks every summer, and since she died we now have our lovely holiday home in Mudeford. It’s not quite the same as visiting Grandma, but it’s a lovely place to get some sun and sea.
‘Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen’ (Bobby – age 7).
In an ideal world this would indeed be the case. One of the best parts of Christmas can be family get togethers, however it can also be the part many of us dread.. There is an over-riding expectation that people who may not often see each other (and may not get on) will come together, eat & drink too much away from the comfort of home, and will all be happy!
By now your family visiting arrangements will have probably already been discussed, debated and decided, so whether you are looking forward with anticipation or trepidation here are a few pointers for a harmonious gathering.
