The very nice people from Mobile Fun sent me an Obliq Skyline Advance case for my phone. This is what I made of it.
Footprint Bags are an ingenious product range created by two environmentally-aware young mums, Hanny and Claire. When Hepden Bridge in Yorkshire, near where they lived, decided to become a plastic bag free town this sparked an idea, and 3 years later a fabulous and practical product – the reusable shopping bag pack.
I still get excited at the anticipation that comes with expecting a parcel – especially a product for review. However, this time when the postman knocked with my parcel – a sleek and shiny black jiffy envelope – even my husband was intrigued. Inside the lovely packaging continued – wrapped in black tissue was my new 4 bag Footprint Bags pack.
I received an Epson ET 4550 Eco-Tank printer to review.
I run a small business from home and also have two secondary age children. They both have lots of project work and things they want to print – we also regularly print out photos for sending to relatives, and I enjoy papercrafts and cardmaking and quite often print out fully coloured A4 sheets, and full sized photo images. So I need a workhorse of a printer.
UPDATE: I am giving away two annual passes in a giveaway post ending 14th May 2016 – see this post Win two Merlin Annual passes
I am really excited to announce the Merlin Annual Pass January Sale is on again in 2016.
This is a very welcome event in our household – we live less than 2 miles away from Thorpe Park – this puts us within easy driving distance of both Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland and a short train hop from all the London attractions, so we always get huge value out of our annual passes.
On paper I am exactly the type of person that the Gousto service is aimed at. We are a family of 4, and the children are older and really enjoy their food. I really enjoy cooking too (when I get the time) but in reality both my husband and I are very short of time, and the children are also snowed under with homework, extra-curricular activities and an amazing social life which puts my own to shame.
So you would imagine then that choosing four lovely meals from a great selection, and having somebody bring the wonderful fresh organic ingredients, pre-weighed, to your door , so that all you have to do is cook them, would be a godsend for people like me. And so it is, in theory.
The lovely people from Trespass asked me to review a waterproof jacket from their website.
I was very excited to be asked – I bought my last two children’s coats from Trespass and found them to be infinitely superior to other similar outdoor brands, and yet the prices are very reasonable. I was very excited to get a Trespass coat for myself. I walk my dogs in all weathers and my current jacket is fine as far as it goes, but I was definitely in the market for a longer and warmer one, that would suit me for dog walking and also for wearing out and about.
About three years ago my daughter entered a competition in a teen mag to do a video review of a book called Touch of Power by Maria V Snyder, a Canadian author.
I have been helping Sandra Roycroft-Davis of Thinking Slimmer recently, and one of the things I have helped her with is setting up a focus group to test a new 12 week weight loss programme, which will be launched to the public in June.
An honest review of my first two months as a Younique presenter – warts and all
This post was first written and published in January 2015. I have now substantially updated it in January 2016 and the updated bits are in blue. I took a break from Younique for several months while caring for my terminally ill mother, but now I am back and ready to start again.
If you have been anywhere near my social media feeds recently (or in fact if you have been anywhere near social media at all) you can hardly help but notice that Younique Cosmetics has launched its direct sales business in the UK.
Everywhere you look there are people taking selfies of their eyelashes, ranging from the pretty to the pretty extreme, and every facebook group is awash with people trying to tell you that Younique is the best thing ever and trying to get you to join their team. So is it the best thing ever? Or is it just another load of hype or some kind of scam?
