This book is aimed at busy mums – taking you through the basic steps that you need to set up and start running a home business in 30 days.
You essentially get one page per day, which tells you the absolute basics on subjects like
- Choosing your Business
- Naming and Branding yourself
- Setting up a Website
- Social media
- Accounting and Admin
The Author Lizz Akin has set up her own successful business – The Qool Club which sells children’s toys and gifts, and now she wants to share her business expertise with you.
I think this is a great first read for anyone who is just thinking of starting out – it gives you a snapshot of the things that are likely to be involved at the very beginning of a business.
As to whether you actually could take this guide and nothing more and set up a business in 30 days – that might be pushing it a little bit. I think the idea that you could start up any business in just 30 minutes a day is a little bit misleading. Any entrepreneur knows that it takes a lot of time and effort, planning and research before your business will be up and running.
But if you are still at the planning stage – this could be a good book to start with – it is written in a chatty easy to read style – and if nothing else it will point you in the direction of what else you need to learn.
So do go ahead and buy this book – then come back to the MTB resources section to get more information for thsoe bits of your business where you need an extra boost.
