Mum's The Boss Sponsors
We are incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors, without whose support none of this would be possible:
Bedford i-kan
Bedford i-kan is centrally located within Bedford, and offers a whole range of business solutions for SME's. They offer virtual tenancy from as little as £30 per month, hot-desking and self contained POD workstations which are accessible 24/7, meeting room hire, telephone answering service and free impartial business advice.
Bedford i-kan very kindly allows Mum's The Boss to use the lounge for its informal monthly drop-in sessions, and offers a special room hire rate for MTB members.

Bedford International Athletics Stadium
Bedford International Athletic Stadium has acquired a reputation as one of the finest facilities of its kind in the UK – it enjoys a central location in the heart of Bedford, and yet is only 10 minutes from the M1 and A1 road links, making it accessible to all areas.
The outdoor facilities comprise an International standard eight lane floodlit synthetic track, athletics field events area, an American football pitch and two rugby pitches, one of which is floodlit. The sports hall comprises eight badminton courts with one court for team sports such as football and a 60 metre sprint track. Activities offered range from Athletics, Football, Badminton, Short Tennis, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball and a variety of general fitness sessions.
However, it is not just the sporting facilities, but also the meeting facilities which make this an ideal place for Mum's The Boss to hold its 2010 monthly meetings, and equally importantly the crèche facilities.

Million Mums Campaign
www.millionmums.org

The Million Mums Campaign is run by The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood. Every minute of every day, a woman dies of pregnancy related complications, totaling more than one half million women each year. The aim of the Million Mums campaign is simple: Sign up a million people to speak out against the needless deaths of women in pregnancy and childbirth around the world. So if you are lucky enough to be a mum who has had a happy and healthy pregnancy, then maybe you would like to join the campaign too and donate £1 or more to help prevent children all over the world being born without a mum to take care of them.
Mummo Mag
Mummo Mag is an online magazine written by mums for mums, which supports the White Ribbon Alliance's Million Mums Campaign.
Founder and creator Jo Rheam explains: mummo magazine is not a parenting magazine. It's a magazine that celebrates us as mothers
and as people in our own right. In the midst of hectic family life, it can be easy to see ourselves as 'just' mums, and to lose sight
of the women we were, are and want to be.
Sam has had a poem published in this issue (see pages 52–53) and the magazine is full of great articles as well as lots more information about the Million Mums campaign and how you can register your support.
2009
In 2009 we supported the following charities by holding a number of fundraising events, including coffee mornings and raffles, and by donating underwear!
MacMillan Cancer Support
Underwear Appeal to help Women in Zimbabwe avoid Sexual Abuse
Keech Cottage Children's Hospice
