Ok, I’ll admit it – I’m a stationery addict and I’m sure I’m not the only one! Even though I do the majority of my notetaking and planning on my tablet now, using Goodnotes and my Apple Pencil, with self-designed digital stickers, I’m still a sucker when it comes to a lovely notebook and I love doodling my thoughts with a purple inked pen.
So when the lovely people at Causebook contacted me and asked if I would like to try one of their beautiful notebooks, of course I jumped at the chance.
The founders of Causebook, Emmanuel Linardatos and Julia Johansson, can trace their origins in the publishing business to 1933 when Emmanuel’s grandfather opened his printing business in Athens.
They have created a range of simple but beautiful, eco-friendly A5 notebooks in a range of colours both traditional and vibrant. They have pledged to plant a tree for every notebook sold

The notebooks are generally embossed on the front with CAUSEBOOK in a simple font, but the can be personalised and used as corporate gifts.
My Causebook
I’ve decided to keep a little journal of my musings over the course of August. This is a month when I kick back a bit – I’ve got a few trips away planned and will have quite a bit of down time. It’s lovely to have a dedicated notebook to doodle in for my holidays before I get back to boring planning and scheduling.
When it arrived, my first thought was how thin it is – but it is definitely 32 leafs of paper so 64 sides of A5, and to be honest it will fit beautifully into my handbag.
The dots on the paper are very faint, but that’s great – they are there if I choose to use them, and if not the paper looks plain so I will be able to doodle freely.
I’m very much looking forward to scribbling in this over the next few weeks.
